I love animals and I rescue strays. I have them vet checked, spayed/neutered, aids/leu tests and all shots given. I have a wonderful stray named Marq. He is friendly, loving and needs a good home. Sheryl

We adopted Babe two years ago and changed his name to Frankie because he was "old blue eyes" It is with a heavy heart that I have to report that Frankie had to be put down to the serious health problems. Jenny and I are really going to miss him. He was the consumate lap cat. He had a great two years and knowing that the end was near we feed him his favorite "shrimp" last night. Those who feed him at the beach know that he could really eat. He kept that ability till the end. Too bad the rest of his health took over. |

We adopted Babe and he has been in our home for just over a year now. We call him Frankie because of his beautiful blue eyes. He is thriving and is so loving. In fact I think he feels my lap is the only place he can lay. He gets along well with our other cat although he is the more dominate. We encourage anyone to adopt and not be afraid of giving a feral a chance. |

I have just visited this page for the first time. I am delighted with every word and round of affection sent by these loving people. I went to send each one of you an internet group HUG. When I encountered the first cat trapped by the City, I was heartbroken. 14 Yrs. later, here we are educating the country on real feral cat issues and successes! Thank you everyone!

I am especially proud of my brother, Larry who is one of the caring group of people who feed the abandon cats in this park. He takes his daily morning walks through this park, armed with bags of cat food and takes the time to feed, refill water bowls, cuddle and pet all those furry little sweeties who look forward to some human attention and has been doing it for years. This is a wonderful group of animal-loving people as my entire family is. God bless them all. |

I come to visit all the kitties when I visit my uncle Larry Smith who is very devoted to taking care of the cats. When my twins were little they couldnt wait to visit their uncle Larry because they said he had a huge back yard and they had to help him feed all the kitties. My sister has 13 cats all fixed, up on shots, and all on advantage.I am the rescuer of dogs,I take in the abused, unwanted and retrain them.
Must run in the family!
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!

Hi all. I feed for CatPals 3 days a week. I am currently fostering Binkitty of Custer Street as she's taking medication for a sinus problem. She took all of a week to fit right in with the rest of my crew...adopting a "feral" can be done. |

Hi fellow cat lovers. I spend my time on Custer St and am the one who took the cat I named Bailey home. It took a full year for her to become comfortable, so don't give up to quickly on a rescued cat. Many cats on Custer are more interested in human contact than food, but use my donation as you needed. Thanks to all who love the cats..........Susan Williams |

Found your link from the "I Love Cats Store" online. We have made the same effort in our area for the past several years, although we have yet to go 501-c-3, so our costs are outrageous. We have rescued and T/N/R ed over thirty cats this past year and have 24 in our shelter at this time, kittens and throw-aways that would be better off with human contact than to revert to feral, awaiting adoption. God Bless your efforts and may your feral colony dwindle through your efforts. This is the only job where working yourself out of business is rewarding!
Good Luck!

I have just heard tonight that the Wildlife commission voted to have the right to kill feral cats. Killing is supposed to be a last resort. But our species is well known for taking the easy way out. The dying out of native beach mice (who likes rodents more than cats??? Are they nuts??)is not entirely from cats. What about over-population, severly limited natural habitats, severe traffic ( every day I see something dead in the road and I'm sure those poor creatures were there long before the developers arrived from northern cities to make their fortunes here )
I have three cats and am very upset about this, is there some way that lottery funds could find there way to city run cat sanctuaries????
Thanks for listening,
Vicki, Treasure, Raptor, and O.C. |

I just read in the recent issue of Cat Fancy about the Wildlife Commission wanting to kill off the ferals. My God, I love both cats and wildlife, and killing is not the answer. Here in Mass. we have many feral colonies maintained by caring individuals. My last three kitties were abandoned at colonies and now live in my home. I plan on being in the Lauderdale area next week and might take a ride to Hollywood to meet some of the wonderful caring volunteers and offer support. |

I am going to volunteer to help in any way I can. I'm so glad to see the article in Cat Fancy. I hope it will bring more volunteers. I've heard that in Texas there is a vanity plate for animal lovers. All the proceeds go to org.s that care for cats and dogs and spay and neuter costs. Do you think we could start something like that in FL? |

Keep up the good work. If I am ever in the Hollywood area I will definitely stop by and offer support and meet some of your lovely cats. God Bless you for helping these homeless felines. I read about you in Cat Fancy Magazine |
